Battery Tech Expo Sweden 2025 brought together companies, specialists, buyers and ecosystem actors from across the Nordic battery value chain.
While much of the event focused on electrochemical batteries, Greenco Tech AB participated with a complementary perspective: the role of thermal energy storage in stationary energy systems.
For many industrial, agricultural, building and district-energy applications, batteries are not the only storage layer needed. Thermal storage can support heating, cooling and, in selected future configurations, electricity generation by storing energy in thermal form and dispatching it when useful.
Greenco Tech AB’s view is that future energy systems will increasingly rely on hybrid storage architectures, where batteries provide fast electrical flexibility and thermal storage provides cost-effective, long-duration capacity for heat-intensive applications.

Greenco Tech AB is now continuing to explore collaborations and pilot opportunities where thermal storage can complement batteries, support waste-heat recovery and create more flexible energy systems for industry, agriculture, buildings and district heating.
